TOM MEIER FIGURE PROJECT

Since my early foray into Dungeons & Dragons in 1982 I've been a fan of Tom Meier as a miniature sculptor. His imagination informed a generation of gamers as to the 'what' and 'how' of Fantasy gaming for decades to come. Here's my tribute to the man whose grasp of anatomy in miniature is unparalleled.

Middle figure is from Tom's Thunderbolt Mountain company in a Limited Edition set of Kings. The archers are from Ral Partha all figures made in the 80's. God I love painting his work!

IT'S BEEN A WILD RIDE SINCE LAST POST!

COVID-19 has changed our world. Nevertheless and notwithstanding, I've stayed sane during lockdown by painting my figurines. I finally committed to pursuing the Seven Years War as my next historical period, and boy did I fall down a deeeep hole! I'm starting with my Austro-Hungarian Empire army, with a bigger focus on the Hungarian and Croatian Grenzers. Here's what I've got so far...

And after that itch was scratched, I had an opportunity to finally purchase my Holy Grail of Tom Meier Elf miniatures. And then this was the result...

And now I'm knee deep in more Tom Meier Elves to paint up for this badass's Retinue, and then back to my beloved Hussars!

Stay safe everyone,
Bob
